The following story points out that even being all boozed up on alcohol is still no reason to assault an underage kid with a tattoo of a logo from a band that promotes violence and getting high. Or at the very least don’t ever give a garage tattoo and then attempt to collect on school grounds!

George Doyle, 22, is accused of assaulting a 16 year old and demanding payment for inking the word “Juggallo” on the teen’s body, the Telegram & Gazette reported.

Juggalo — though unfortunately misspelled on the victim’s chest — is the name for the devoted followers of the rap duo Insane Clown Posse, a controversial group known for violent lyrics and drug use. The ICP also has its own social network and even an FBI file.

Cops in Spencer became aware of Doyle’s artwork on March 5, after a school official learned that he’d been allegedly threatening the teen in an attempt to get paid for the tat. Doyle is accused of tattooing the boy after he’d “gotten him messed up with alcohol,” according to a police report obtained by the paper.

Police went to Doyle’s home and claim that they found amateur tattoos on his body similar to the one on the teen.

He was arrested and charged with illegal tattooing, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — in reference to the tattoo needle — and providing alcohol to an underaged person.

The teen isn’t the only victim of a misspelled Juggalo tattoo. Rapper Coolio got a large tattoo on his arm depicting the group’s mascot — a “hatchet man” — and the words, “Jugalo Cool,” which TMZ reported was “one ‘G’ shy of actually being cool.”

Surely most of them will be images or pictures, with some of us opting to (regretfully) tattoo the name of our ex-girlfriends. Pat Vaillancourt decided to take the path less traveled, and has more than 10,000 URLs inked all over his back and shoulders. Just in case you think that this is overkill, Pat thinks otherwise, as his ultimate goal would be to have 100,000 URLs inked all over his body. 30-year-old Vaillancourt from Quebec, Canada, decided on tattooing as the route to fame. He says, “I want to break a Guinness World Record, but more importantly, I want to help others. And this is my way of doing so.” You can pay him $35 to tattoo your URL on his body, and he will also list it on his website, Back2thelight.com, where 50% of the proceeds will end up in the direction of Haitians and Somalians. As for the other 50%? Well, he obviously needs to pay a tattoo artist to get the work done, and for promotional purposes. What do you think of this idea? Hopefully it will not end up with too many Error 404s…

Rossie Brovent wants $100,000 in damages from Ryan Fitzjerald. Rossie, from Dayton, Ohio, US, wanted a scene from the Narnia trilogy inked on her back. Instead she was left with a pile of excrement with flies buzzing around it.

Tattoo artist Ryan turned rogue after discovering that Rossie had cheated on him with his best friend.

Rossie originally tried to have her ex-lover charged with assault but she had signed a consent form agreeing the tattoo design was “at the artist’s discretion”.

She said: “He tricked me by drinking a bottle of cheap wine with me and doing tequila shots before I signed it and got the tattoo.

“Actually I was passed out for most of the time, and woke up to this horrible image on my back.”

Mike Tyson’s tattoo is by S. Victor Whitmill, who is suing Warner Brothers but has taken pains to leave Mr. Tyson out of it.

In “The Hangover Part II,” the sequel to the very successful what-happened-last-night comedy, the character played by Ed Helms wakes up with a permanent tattoo bracketing his left eye. The Maori-inspired design is instantly recognizable as the one sported by the boxer Mike Tyson, which is part of the joke. (Mr. Tyson makes an appearance in both films, playing himself.)

But S. Victor Whitmill, a tattoo artist formerly of Las Vegas and currently from rural Missouri, doesn’t quite see the humor. Mr. Whitmill designed the tattoo for Mr. Tyson, called it “tribal tattoo,” and claims it as a copyrighted work.

He has gone to Federal District Court in St. Louis to ask a judge to stop Warner Brothers Entertainment from using the tattoo in its posters or in the movie, which would amount to stopping the film from being released, as well as to demand monetary damages for what he calls “reckless copyright infringement” by the studio.

“Mr. Whitmill has never been asked for permission for, and has never consented to, the use, reproduction or creation of a derivative work based on his original tattoo,” argues the lawsuit, which was filed April 28, and will be taken up next week.

The suit isn’t frivolous, however, legal experts say. They contend the case could offer the first rulings on tricky questions about how far the rights of the copyright holder extend in creations that are, after all, on someone else’s body. They are questions likely to crop up more often as it becomes more common for actors or athletes to have tattoos and as tattoo designs become more sophisticated.

Warner Brothers responded on Friday in a brief to Judge Catherine D. Perry, stating that any delay in releasing the film would have huge economic costs. It also argued that there was no legal precedent for Mr. Whitmill’s assertion of copyright, saying he had put forward a “radical claim that he is entitled, under the Copyright Act, to control the use of a tattoo that he created on the face of another human being.”

Copyright and trademark law can be hard to understand intuitively — for example, the idea that you can “own” a photograph or a letter, but not own the right to reproduce its content. The example of a tattoo, where “ownership” means having it become part of your body, actually does little to clear up the matter.

The wrinkle in the “Hangover” lawsuit is that Mr. Whitmill has taken pains to leave Mr. Tyson out of it. “This case is not about Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson’s likeness, or Mike Tyson’s right to use or control his identity,” the complaint says. “This case is about Warner Bros. appropriation of Mr. Whitmill’s art and Warner Bros. unauthorized use of that art, separate and apart from Mr. Tyson.”

“One of the things that the copyright law gives you as an artist is control over your work — and he lost control here,” said Michael A. Kahn, the lawyer who is representing Mr. Whitmill. The complaint includes a photograph of the tattoo being inked and a statement from Mr. Tyson agreeing that “all artwork, sketches and drawings related to my tattoo and any photographs of my tattoo are property” of Mr. Whitmill’s business.

If a tattoo clearly violates copyright — say, exactly reproduces a Keith Haring drawing or an Annie Leibovitz photograph without permission — could a court order it removed?

The case gets more serious, according to Christopher A. Harkins, an expert on copyright and patents who has written the definitive law review article on the subject, when someone tries to profit from the copying — by, for instance, selling photographs of the infringing tattoos.

“I don’t see a court forcing someone to remove it, or wear a burqa, but they may not allow me to profit from that work that I had tattooed on my body,” he said, adding that it would be very unlikely that this action could delay “The Hangover Part II” from being released.

The range of material that individuals and businesses are seeking to get copyright protection for has only been expanding, often at the insistence of movie studios. Mattel has gone to court to assert the copyright of the face of its Barbie doll; fashion companies have been lobbying Congress to pass a law to protect unique, nontrivial new designs. And trademark, which is governed by different laws and is much more contextual, has been used by athletes and coaches to get a measure of control over terms like “three-peat” or “Revis Island.”

The rapper, who was recently released from a psychiatric facility after pleading ‘mental incompetency’ regarding a probation violation, had an ice cream cone tattooed onto his face on Jan. 12.

Mane is sporting a cone with three scoops on his right cheek, complete with the word ‘Brrr’ and several red lightning bolts. The ink was completed by tattoo artist Shane Willoughby, according to piercer Jason Murray, who posted photos of the two on Twitter.

Mane claimed in court on Jan. 3 that he was unable to ‘intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing.’ He was then committed to a mental health facility, where he was to be evaluated.

While Mane’s legal problems date back to 2001, his most recent issues stem from resisting arrest in November following an alleged assault.

Jayde Nicole, 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year, was Brody Jenner’s GF a couple years ago — so you might have seen her on ‘The Hills’ or ‘Bromance.’ Now she’s a star in ‘The Girls Next Door’ spin-off ‘Bunny House’ (Sun., 10:30PM ET on E!).

In Las Vegas, she and her bunny friends are downing drinks two at a time at the tattoo shop in the middle of the night. (A tattoo shop/bar combo? Genius idea.)

Her history with Brody is still evident, in the form of a tattoo. “After we broke up, I felt really stupid having a ‘B’ initialed on the inside of my mouth,” she admits.

Jayde can’t get it removed, so she covers it up with a new tat (check the video for it). Shots of Jagermeister get her through the pain. “Learn from my mistakes, and don’t get your boyfriend’s name tattooed on you anywhere ever for any reason,” she advises her comrades. Lady Gaga’s crowd surfing at Lollapalooza wasn’t the only crazy thing happening this past weekend in Chicago. David Arquette took some time off from shooting his latest film, ‘Scream 4,’ to show off another creative skill, tattooing. The actor stepped into the Carrera Lounge to get some new ink and ended up dispensing a little pain of his own to his tattoo artist. David must have done a good job, he was still able to get a new skull tattoo added to his collection afterward.

“I love my forehead. It was a really big step for me to do it,” she said of the temple scrolling.

McGee avoided talking about her “WP” tattoo inked on the back of her legs. WP stands for “White Supremacy”, some say. (See Photos)

Bombshell McGee, who has claimed that Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James had an 11-months affair with her, was a contestant at Miss Ink in Las Vegas, a competition for ladies with tattoos.

Watch the video below in which McGee talks about her tattoos, Amish background, her arm pit tattoos, and her forehead ink.

McGee discusses how she was raised Amish. She tells she left the church at 16. She says she is estranged from her parents, and got her first tattoo at the age of 15.

McGee calls her armpit tattoos “really, really painful.”

In the photos Michelle McGee shows off a ‘WP’ tattoo–one initial on the back of each leg. TMZ reported that the tattoo stands for “white power,” but Michelle tells In Touch Weekly it stands for something different.
